Our Story: Engineering the Future of Energy
Innovation rarely happens overnight. It is shaped by years of learning, experimentation, failures, improvements, and the determination to turn ideas into something useful.
For Enzolt Energy, that journey began long before the company was officially established — not inside a conventional energy company, but through hands-on automotive engineering.
The Beginning: A Passion for Engineering
The story began in 2017, during the first year of engineering, when Mr. Praveen Kumar, Founder and CEO of Enzolt Energy Pvt. Ltd., joined the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) student chapter.
At that stage, it was simply a young engineering student with a strong curiosity about how machines worked - how design, performance, materials and manufacturing could come together to create something that actually moved.
That curiosity quickly became a passion for vehicle engineering, performance technology and manufacturing. It was the beginning of a journey that would eventually lead far beyond automobiles.
That same year, a visit to Italy and exposure to the engineering philosophy behind high-performance automotive brands added another layer to that ambition. It showed how engineering discipline, design and performance could be brought together to build machines that were not only fast, but carefully engineered.
This ambition eventually led to the Mercellenie project, developed alongside college teammates.
From Automotive Ideas to Racing Machines
What initially started as an idea around hybrid supercar development gradually evolved into something much more practical - the development and manufacturing of off-road ATV racing vehicles through the student racing team Rough Riders.
That change was important. Instead of simply imagining a vehicle, the team had to actually build one. The experience brought engineering out of the classroom and into the workshop.
From chassis fabrication and structural optimization to performance tuning, testing and vehicle development, the team worked through the challenges of creating a performance vehicle from the ground up.
Under Mr. Praveen Kumar's leadership, the team designed and manufactured several racing vehicles and achieved recognition in national-level competitions.
One of the most significant engineering achievements was reducing the vehicle weight from 248 kg to 151 kg through continuous design optimization and engineering improvements.
That experience established an important principle that would later become part of Enzolt's identity: better engineering is not simply about adding technology. It is about making every component work smarter, safer and more efficiently.
2020: Turning Toward Electric Mobility
The year 2020 became another turning point. As the world faced the COVID-19 pandemic, the focus began shifting toward what was next - electric mobility, battery technology and new energy systems.
The following years were filled with experimentation. The team explored electric bike platforms, advanced battery packs, electric drivetrains and the engineering challenges that came with building electric systems.
Not every idea worked the first time. Some prototypes had to be redesigned. Some tests revealed problems that were not visible on paper. But that was part of the learning process.
Every prototype brought another lesson. Every redesign improved the next version. Even failed tests became useful because they showed exactly what needed to change.
That hands-on approach gradually built the technical foundation that would later support Enzolt Energy's lithium battery and energy storage solutions.
2023: Born from Crisis
By 2023, the journey had reached another important turning point. The years spent working on electric mobility had created a strong technical foundation. The team understood batteries, packs, electrical systems, mechanical design and the discipline required to keep improving a product until it was ready for the real world.
But the next chapter was not shaped by technology alone. It was shaped by a problem that was much closer to everyday life.
During this period, the team began looking beyond electric mobility and asking a different question: where else could this engineering experience make a meaningful difference?
That question led to deeper work in lithium battery systems, precision battery architecture, advanced pack design, wire bonding, structural validation, thermal considerations and battery safety.
At the same time, the reality of unreliable power became harder to ignore.
The Mercellenie Project: Building With Patience
The Mercellenie project was one of the early ideas that reflected this mindset - an ambitious plan to build a high-performance electric bike.
It was not something that could be completed overnight. It required planning, experimentation, engineering decisions, sourcing, testing and, above all, patience.
The team had to keep working even when progress was slow. Ideas had to be questioned, designs had to be improved and practical limitations had to be understood.
That experience reinforced something that would become central to Enzolt's approach: meaningful engineering takes time.
Sometimes the work is not about getting a finished product quickly. It is about patiently building the knowledge, technology and confidence required to create something better.
The lessons from that period - working hard, staying patient and continuing to improve - would eventually influence the way the team approached battery engineering and energy systems.
Solving a Real Power Backup Problem
Frequent power interruptions were affecting homes and businesses, particularly during heavy rains and cyclone seasons across Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu.
This raised a simple but important question: Could the engineering experience gained from electric mobility be used to build better energy storage and power backup solutions?
The answer became the foundation for Enzolt Energy.
Rather than limiting the technology to electric vehicles, the focus expanded toward lithium battery energy storage systems, inverter solutions and reliable power backup for homes and businesses.
The goal was to develop practical energy technology suited to the needs of Indian consumers.
2024: Enzolt Energy Begins Its Journey
That question gradually became the foundation for something bigger. This vision led to the official launch of Enzolt Energy in March 2024.
Built on years of hands-on engineering and product development experience, Enzolt Energy began its journey as an energy technology company focused on developing advanced lithium battery and intelligent power solutions.
The company's approach combines engineering experience from the automotive sector with modern battery and energy technologies.
The focus is on developing solutions that offer reliable energy storage, long-lasting battery performance, advanced battery management, intelligent power backup, safe and efficient energy usage, and scalable energy solutions.
Building Advanced Lithium Battery Solutions
Today, Enzolt Energy is developing a growing range of LiFePO4 lithium battery and energy storage solutions for different applications.
The ENERGYCORE range focuses on dependable lithium battery-based power storage, while the UNICORE — Coming Soon platform combines an inverter and battery into an integrated energy solution with features such as Advanced BMS and Wi-Fi app connectivity.
The company's higher-capacity PROCORE platform is designed for applications requiring greater energy storage capacity.
